Bio: 

Moises R. N. Ribeiro was born in Vitoria/ES, Brazil in 1969. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicationes (INATEL), the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, and the Ph.D. degree in the same area from the University of Essex, UK, in 1992, 1996, and 2002, respectively. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering of Universidade Federal do Espirito Santo, Brazil, in 1995. He is now a visiting professor to the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford University (Oct 2010 to Sep. 2011) under a grant from the Brazilian government (CAPES). His research interests include fiber-optic and computer communication devices, systems, and networks.
